Hi Kelly! Welcome to Special Families!

Are you finding you are getting enough support since you got the diagnosis? Coming to terms with this sort of news is always difficult even months later. Would love to hear more about Ashton at some point if you get the chance. By the way did you read the Joss' Story part on the main website as that's about a child with hemiplegia so you might find it interesting. You can find it at http://www.specialfamilies.org/joss-blog.html, if you look at the Blog Archive bit on the left you can read the story going right back to 2004.

PS Any chance you could show me how to use the forum coz you've obviously picked up more than I have already! Mind you I'm not sure a picture of me would be appreciated.  Wink

hi paula

i have good days and bad , oh doesnt show much interest basically buried his head in the sand , at the minute ashton is having agrowth sprut good thing he has his botox in 2 weeks but at the minute finding walking very far to distressing..
as for adding picturesit took me ages to do find the image shack website its free you just need to register then upload your image then use image shack to upload u pics copy the last code into ur specail families thread above (insert image tab ) and upload as many pics it took me ages to work out how to do it

Hi Kelly,

I have just read your posting and wanted to let you know that i have a daughter of 3yrs with right sided hemiplegia. My daughter was diagnosed at 9 months so if you were like me you are just coming to terms with it and now wanting to direct you energy into anything that will help.If you have any specific questions just shout and i'll try to point you in the right direction.   Regards Joss

ashtons having his first lot of botx on monday a little nervous yet excited hope that makes sense to so of you , just wondering have any of your little one have botox if so what have been the results , a little nervous about the general anthestic and excited to see if it works .
ashton at the minute as problems walking turns is foot and has high tone rs hemi but mainly effects his leg and raises his hand when running etc
