Went to Corfe Castle in the school holidays with the two children and our care assistant. The National Trust man walked around our car, checked our disabled car parking permit and then when we got out, challenged us as he didn't believe that we were entitled to park there!!!! When will people get their heads around the fact that you don't have to be in a wheelchair to be disabled and that children can be disabled too.Why should I have to justify myself in the middle of a car park to a stupid jobs worth who is supposed to be there to help people? He wouldn't have said that to an old person.

Bloody man! I set him straight I can tell you! Angry Grin

Paula

I am with you and also against.  I believe that they should ask but for me the stupid part is that the photo of the person holding the badge is not the side that is displayed.

I agree about not everyone is in a wheelchair.

What I believe is that the person needs training on what to ask and I for one would be happy to show the photo on the card.

Sorry though that you had such a crap experience.

Hope that Corfe Castle made up for it xx
