I hope it's OK for me to put this here.

http://www.disabilityalliance.org/

It's a fantastic website with everything you need to know about benefits and disability rights.

Thanks Pixie, excellent link! I've updated our benefits page to mention this site, when I get round to it we should add a 'proper' page about the Disability Alliance.

If you have any other good links then of course let us know!

Cheers

Feel free to take any from my forum that you think will help on here.

I have been around a while with this stuff so I have a few up my sleeve.

Obviously mine are now older so some links may not be appropriate to younger children's needs.

Thanks for the offer Pixie. Nice to have someone with "experience" around!

There are definitely some useful resources on the web now, its just not always easy to find them amongst the rubbish.

Cheers,

John

Lisa

Just replied on your other post.

No a person does not need to be wheelchair bound for help.

Disability Living Allowance is there for anyone who requires more help than a person without a disability.

Good luck

Also, if your child is over four, then you are entitled to free nappies. Ask your health visitor for a referral.
