Hello there
I have a son who was 9 weeks prem and diagnosed with mild left hemaplegia cerebral palsy.
Sam is now 4 yrs old and although his left arm has always been tight, he is now starting to walk with his left foot turned in and on his toes.
He has been wearing a DMO splint on his arm for a few months and has made a big difference. He has just been fitted for a AFO brace for his left leg and I am not sure how to go about buying shoes to go over it!
I was advised by the appliance clinic that he may need the left shoe to be a size bigger or to take out the insole & just to buy trainers but when I went to get his feet measured today the right foot was a size 10 & the left a size 12/13! When I looked at the shoes there is quite a difference in the size and will be very obvious he has odd shoes on. When I tried a 13 on him he was saying it was hurting him & too tight.

Also the clinic said he could only use it with shoes over, does anyone know if he could wear a sock over it in the house or does it have to be shoes.
Was just wondering if anyone had any advice or if this is just the way it is.
