Hi
I have 2 children, one who is 13yrs old with XYY syndrome, epilepsy,ADHD,Autism,Pica,Hypotonia with ligamentous laxity and so on. I also have a 16month old baby who is just having physio for Hypermobility.  I am not sure whether this is hereditry? if anyone knows please answer.

Welcome from me.  I do not know the answer but am waiting to see if anyone else can answer.  I have a little boy who is 6 with Prader Willi Syndrome.

Hi Alison,

Great to hear from you!

I'm pretty sure that hypermobility can be hereditary, though as with most things there are many different causes and only some are hereditary. In fact I have a slightly hypermobile thumb joint and so does my Mum so there's the proof! Do you have a good consultant you can ask these sorts of questions to?

Welcome from me too.

We all have hypermobility here too, that's me and 3 children. They all also have Autism, Tourette's Syndrome, bowel problems, 2 have seizures and a few other things between them.

I hope you find some answers and that you enjoy the forum.
