Hi there,  I am the grandmother of a beautiful little girl who is almost 11months
old.  She was born with bi-lateral Radial Aplasia, this is more of a discription of
her problem than a diagnosis.
My dauaghter and I have searched the net for anyone who has a similar problem
who can offer any advice but we have gotten nowhere.
Just wondered if there was anyone on here.

Hi CC

welcome to the forum.  I have no idea but hopefully someone will be able to point the way - there are some really knowledgeable people around.

I have had a look on the web and come up with the following websites that might be useful.

These ones are English

http://www.reach.org.uk/

http://www.ivh.se/TAR/  this one looks very useful, it's about TAR syndrome which involves other difficulties as well as absent radius.

http://www.cafamily.org.uk/Direct/u11.html  this one helps you to find another family who has a child with similar difficulties

These  ones are american

http://www.superhands.us/
this one has a a selection of pages about families of children with limb differences and their email addresses
http://www.ontheotherhand.org/

http://www.unlimbitedpossibilities.org/index.html

Hi Clare,

Thank you so much for your help!!
I will be looking at the websites tonight.
My granddaughter has bi-laterial radial aplasia, so both her right and left arms and hands are affected.  We know most children with radial aplasia only
have one affected arm/hand but cannot find anyone else with two arms affected.
She has no other problems at all.
Once again thanks.
