Grin    Hi , I'm Jayne and I have just joined the forum.  I have 4 children.  My youngest has a diagnosis of autism, communication and development delay.  My daughter has characteristics similar to ADHD and we are awaiting further investigations.  Apart from that, I run 2 home-based business and am studying a diploma in payroll management with the aim of going freelance.  I am also constructing my own website which will have a personal and business role.  Anyway I hope to get chatting to you in due course.

Hi Jayne,
Welcome to the forum. Our daughter also "expresses the symptoms of ADHD" according to the consultant, but they haven't decided yet whether she just has a huge delay in developing her "control mechanisms" or whether it's classic ADHD. Will be interesting to hear how you get on.
Sounds like you keep yourself pretty busy. I've just set up my own business, partly because it makes it easier for me to make all the appointments (and no more leave requests - yippee!) but also because I get to do the type of business I enjoy. Only been at it a month though!

Regards

John

Hi Jayne!,
My youngest has NF1 which causes speech and language delays and some general delays hes about 18mths behind in his milestones. it can cause physical problems too but so far so good touch wood hes fine; he has also just this week has been diagnoised with autism which is good news because we can now find him the help he needs.Ive been told by his nursery head teacher that he is severly learning disabled which can be really frustrating for him as I can see hes really intelligent. We,re just starting out on the road of finding him the right education to match his needs.Iam terrified of selling him short.Ohh the woes of it all LOL.Anyway I will look forward to your posts and I take my hat of to you ,4 kids and studying!...wish I had even a fraction of  your energy!  Cheesy

Hi Jayne,

Sorry the welcome is a bit late - we were all away for the October school break.  Hello from my family of 3.  2 boys age 7 and 1.  My daughter, N has global developmental delay and is 4 1/2.  Hope you find the forum useful.

Best Wishes
