Never thought I would qualify but as a carer I do.

I'll be fit and healthy till this time next year!

The Florence Nightingale of our house, well i'm more of an NHS Nurse, underpaid, overworked and not appreciated.   Cheesy

Great for you!  Grin

Ouch!!!  Cry

Don't know if I fancy it though.  Hope you don't have too many side effects.  Undecided

Could you have got hubby to get jag and look after you if you get flu?  Yes, I know - silly question!

Hi There
Hope you are well unlike myself, I had a flu jab about two weeks ago and I am still suffering it’s effects(Full blown flu). I have Nausea constant back ache and pains in my chest.
Is this a normal occurrence. I am off work because of a stroke I had two years ago so this is all I need.

Cheers Jimbo45

Oh no, so sorry to hear that

I am fine, however my dad suffered when he got the flu jab too.

Was that your first time?

How are you normally each year? Are you prone to flus, bugs and colds?

Hope you feel better soon

Hope you feel better soon!

I usually have a bit of a cold afterwards but have been OK this year. I asked the nurse if it meant that you would get mild flu and she said no but I think that was a bit of propaganda!!

Did you know that children with CP are advised to get the jab?

Your best bet is to speak directly to the manufacturer.

Hi

The thiomersal controversy describes claims that vaccines containing the mercury-based preservative thiomersal contribute to the development of autism and other brain development disorders. The current scientific consensus is that no convincing scientific evidence supports these claims.

This is straight from wikipedia.  I know it used to be a main ingredient in contact lens solutions years ago, but fell out of favour due to high numbers of allergic reactions.

Speeds is right - you need to speak to the manufacturer if you're worried.  Even if it is present, such small doses are unlikely to affect adults....but kids???  Would you take a risk?   I still had all my kids vacc. with the MMR jab as I weighed up the risks of disability if they get the disease Vs alleged risk of autism.
