Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
My name is Daniel and i am a father of a 2 year old disabled boy.
My son has a very rare genetic disorder called Cystinosis and it was a very hard time just after diagnosis dealing with it.

However we adopted an attitude that the condition would not defeat us and we would do all we could to help others.

We have set up a forum which is 100% non profit and we do it because we really want to help people.

The forum is:

www.parentsofdisabledchildren.co.uk

On the forum its general discussion and advice such as benefit advice and healthcare issues.

I really hope some of you will come over and say hello and join in as we really hope you can get some help from others and also that you can help other's that may need it.

Thanks so much for reading.

Kind regards

Daniel

Thanks for the site - I will go and have a look.

Enjoy this site too.

My son has Prader Willi Syndrome and is now 8 but it was too a shock when he was diagnosed.

Thanks for the welcome Paula.
You wouldnt believe how other forums can kick you off for saying hello Roll Eyes
Just for joining in and posting a link to something that will actually help people.
We at www.parentsofdisabledchildren.co.uk are non profit yet sites such as Mumsnet banned us even though the posts i was posting were actually in refrence to posts.

For example somebody wanted to know what benefits they could claim so i pointed them to a useful guide on our website and they removed it Roll Eyes

Paula,
Please feel free to come over to our site as well and have a signature with your link in. Smiley
Its a good site here Wink
