We are currently living in the Middle East, Qatar to be precise, but are from the UK.  I have a daughter, nearly 8, who has Angelman Syndrome and we have always found that other families with kid's with special needs are the best source of information, as well as support.  Not a lot of that where we are living at the moment, so good to have contact this way.

Hi Wendy

I have a 9 year old with Prader Willi - so opposites! in the chromosome stakes

T has been swimming - kicking her legs is making sure the rest of her body is really well supported - big floats so that all she has to do is work her legs.

Closing her mouth - no idea but hope someone will

Now then I meant to say Hi here and write the above on your other thread lol

Nice to see you here.

Hi Wendy!

Thanks for joining the Special Families Forum! Hope you find it useful As a point of interest, what is special needs provision like in Qatar and how does it compare to the UK do you think?

Nice to meet you!
