Hi everyone.
Am new to this forum. Would love to get hints/tips/general support from other parents that have children that are definately 'SPECIAL'.
Although its hard work I love my son to pieces. He was diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD. Day to day stuff is just sometimes really hard work. Would be nice to chat to people that know what its like.
Thanks guys

Hi

Nice to meet you.  My son, aged 9 has Prader Willi Syndrome and yes it can be and is hard work.

I am lucky in that I have made a friend who has a daughter with the same syndrome and the same age so we meet for coffee and also our kids do a couple of clubs together.

It is good to chat about things and get ideas from others - and also just a heads up that we are doing what our kids need even if that does not quite fit the "normal" mould.

xx

Hi crazycranberry

Just wanted to say Hi as I have a son diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD too!  You actually posted on his 10th birthday - spooky or what?

How old is your son by the way and is he in Mainstream school or Special?  Does he have one-to-one help and maybe a Statement?  Mine is in Mainstream with a Statement and has 1:1 all day.  He's doing really well and the ADHD is settling down a bit now he is older.

Any questions just fire away.  Will help if I can. xx

Hi everyone else.  Haven't been on for a while.  Too distracted with Netmums at mo!  LOL xx

Hi Julie - lovely to have you back and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son!!!

Hello too crazycranberry. Love your name! Our son has ASD and our daughter ADHD amongst other things so I know what you mean about it being hard at times! Hope that Special Families can help - there are a great bunch of folks here!
