My name is Kristin and I am from NW Indiana. I have 2 children with special needs. My son is 9 and been dx'd with ADHD, Oral-Moor Apraxia, and Dyslexia, which I might say we are not sure about the dx's because we still think theyare missing something. My daughter is 2.5 and so far we dont have a dx for her. She was born with a 1 cm ASD and a smaller VSD. She was also born weighing 4lbs 4 ozs, caused by IUGR caused from single umbilical artery. As of now she has major develemental delays, no speech besides some minimal babling, cinvulsive epilepsy, and sensery disorder. They keep trying to tell us she is Autistic but she doesnt have the major social anxiety and isolation. I am looking forward to getting to know everyoneand any advice is appreciated.

Hi and welcome

Just so you know Austistic does not have to have the social anxiety and isolation part.

Remember ASD is a spectrum so not all applies.

However I do agree that she shoudl not just be labelled if the label is not correct.
