My daughter (wheelchair user) who will be starting high school from this september.  As we chose our preferential shool with in the borough that is 4.7 miles away from our address, the council rejected the application and asked to appeal it.  They rejected the application because the council is offering transport to another school that is 2.6 miles away but the education standard is very poor. However both schools offer same level of disability facilities. The same council gave my daughter free school transport from infant school to junior school.    Has anyone had similar experience and please tell me how you managed to over come this?

Hello

Sorry I missed this.  Cannot answer from experience but I would fight to get her in to the school you would if there is a place offered at the other school then they should fund the travel.

Hope you manage to get it sorted.
